Being a teacher is one of the most important roles in our society as teachers have the opportunity and responsibility to teach, guide, coach and inspire our children, who will be our future leaders. Unfortunately many teachers become disheartened as they feel overwhelmed by the lack of cooperation and unruly behaviour of children in their class in the face of tight deadlines and outcomes to be achieved. They resort to autocratic methods of force and threats and lose the spirit and inspiration they hoped to pass on to their learners.
